AT541 is a strip masking tape based on a 40 micron aluminium foil coated with an electrically conductive thermosetting solvent based acrylic adhesive and laminated with a self-adhesive removable polyester masking tape.
Applied prior to powder coating, the polyester masking tape will withstand powder coat baking temperatures up to +200°C. After processing, the masking tape is removed from the aluminium without leaving an adhesive residue, providing a conductive pathway through to the panel. AT541 offers high resistance against chemicals, heat, acid and alkali.
The tape construction is tested in-house and conforms to the flame retardant requirement part only of UL510 .
Important Note:
When using these tapes galvanic compatibility should be taken into account.
