AT544 is a very specific strip masking tape based on a 35 micron tin clad copper foil coated with an electrically conductive solvent based acrylic adhesive and a removable polyester masking tape.
Applied onto the inner door sections of electronic cabinets prior to powder coating or spray painting. The masking tape is then removed to expose a clean and electrically contactable tin layer. This tin layer can then form a complete EMI shield through contact with a suitable foam rubber door seal. It also offers extra resistance against ozone, oils, chemicals and water, even in extreme temperature conditions (from -20°C to +155°C).
The tape construction is tested in-house and conforms to the flame retardant requirement part only of UL510 .
